Executive FunctioningBack by popular demand!Jolene Farmer and Susanne McGowanThe executive functions are mental processes that direct a child's thought, action, and emotion, particularly during the active problem solving. This workshop is an interactive opportunity to learn about the brain based processes, and how executive funtioning can affect everything from math class to getting along with peers on the playground. We will also explore interventions that are specific to a child's age and developmental level to facilitate effective use of these essential skills. This presentation will be review and expand upon the different executive functioning areas presented at the Learning Strategies Fair in January.
