Elementary (K-5)All schools have K-5 programs including the basic subjects, as well as programs for the academically talented and those with handicapping conditions. A pre-kindergarten program is offered in several schools. Middle (6-8)All are organized to aid pupils in their transition from childhood to adolescence. Basic skills programs are continued with advanced programs, including French, Spanish and algebra. Senior (9-12)All offer an array of programs for pupils including vocational-technical courses, advanced placement, foreign language and special needs. (In addition, a Navy Junior Reserve Officer Training Corp and a foreign exchange program provide different dimensions to the curriculum.) Computer LaboratoriesElementary and middle schools have computer-assisted instruction laboratories equipped with student terminals. The computer-assisted program affords each pupil an opportunity to work in the laboratory on either reading or mathematics or both. High school computer laboratories are used for programming and applications instruction. Please send questions and comments to: ccpersonnel@calvertnet.k12.md.us |
