Calvert County Public Schools publishes an Annual Report which is a document describing the
year’s highlights. Not only is it important that the system share this information with staff and
citizens, it is a legal requirement. The Annual Report informs the community about the school
system’s current accomplishments and needs for improvement of the schools, as well as a statement of
the business and financial transactions of the county board (Md. Code Ann., Educ. Section 5-111.(b)(1)). It
is circulated to each of the 24 educational jurisdictions in Maryland and serves as an informational
document for citizens within our county.
