Digital Learning BYTES

The Office of Digital Learning has planned professional learning opportunities for teachers and staff in order to enhance teaching and learning with the use of technology. Teachers have the ability to earn 1 MSDE credit. In order to meet individual needs, Digital Learning BYTES will focus on topics from Blended Learning to Transforming Instruction with SAMR and TPACK. Each BYTE is 2-hours in length and is offered either face-to-face or in a self-paced online setting through Schoology. Participants who attend five 2-hour sessions and complete a one hour reflection project for each session will be eligible to earn 1 MSDE credit (15 hours = 1 MSDE credit).

Registration for Digital Learning BYTES is a two-step process:

  1. Teachers who want to earn MSDE credit must register for Digital Learning BYTES using Eduphoria. This will indicate interest in completing the 15 hours required to earn one MSDE credit. Teachers who want to participate in a Digital Learning BYTE without earning MSDE credit should move directly to Step 2.

  2. Teachers then register for their individual Digital Learning session choices in Eduphoria. All five sessions and reflections must be completed during the designated timeframe outlined in Eduphoria.

Questions regarding this information should be directed to the Office of Digital Learning at 443-550-8023.
